What You Need to Know about Teeth Whitening

The Zoom! teeth whitening procedure involves applying a 25% hydrogen peroxide whitening solution to the patient’s teeth, then having the patient sit under a specially designed chairside lamp for 15 minutes at a time. This is usually repeated twice, so the whole procedure takes less than an hour. For patients who prefer to whiten on their own at home, we provide custom-fitted dental trays and solution so they can perform their own whitening procedure at their convenience.

Whitening solutions only work on your natural teeth, so that means that dental material used in crowns, fillings, veneers, etc. won’t be effected by the solution.
